"Deep End" is a 1970 film that delves into the psyche of a 15-year-old boy who works at a public bath in East London. Directed by Jerzy Skolimowski and starring Jane Asher, John Moulder Brown, and Diana Dors, the film explores themes of infatuation and social class. Despite being considered a cult classic, the film was not released for years due to rights issues. However, in 2011, a digital restoration was made possible with the help of the British Film Institute and the film was released in theaters and on home media. Set in London, the film follows Mike, a teenage dropout who becomes infatuated with his older co-worker, Susan, and gets entangled in her complicated love life. From sexual services to a stolen diamond and a violent confrontation, Mike's journey in pursuit of Susan is as tumultuous as it is mesmerizing.
