When executives from the powerful United Broadcasting System discover that a tiny piece of land needed for their new headquarters belongs to spirited Ozark mountain girl Judy Goober, panic quickly sets in. If Judy learns the true value of her property, the company could lose millions.

Desperate to keep the mistake a secret, absent-minded executive Harold Montgomery travels to the Ozarks with his equally scatterbrained son in hopes of persuading Judy to sell. When charm and persuasion fail, they enlist the help of the handsome but cash-strapped Prince Karl, who has troubles of his own. Before long, mistaken identities, romantic misunderstandings, eccentric hillbillies and nonstop comic chaos turn a simple land deal into an unforgettable adventure.
