Angel on My Shoulder is a delightful blend of fantasy, comedy, crime and romance that remains one of Hollywood's most entertaining supernatural classics.
Fresh out of prison, ruthless gangster Eddie Kagle believes he has finally won his freedom—until he is betrayed and murdered by his double-crossing partner. Instead of finding peace, Eddie finds himself in Hell, where he strikes an unusual bargain with the Devil himself.
Given the chance to return to Earth, Eddie agrees to inhabit the body of the honest and respected Judge Frederick Parker. The Devil's plan is simple: disgrace the judge, destroy his reputation, and eliminate a powerful force for good. But every attempt Eddie makes to corrupt the judge's image has the opposite effect, making Parker appear even more admirable.
As Eddie begins to experience kindness, integrity and the love of the judge's fiancée, Barbara Foster, he discovers that redemption may be possible even for a hardened criminal. Torn between revenge and a second chance at life, Eddie must decide whether to continue serving the Devil—or follow his own conscience.
