Baggage clerks Chick Young (Bud Abbott) and Wilbur Grey (Lou Costello) unknowingly deliver two mysterious crates containing Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi) and Frankenstein's Monster (Glenn Strange). When Dracula escapes and joins forces with the beautiful but sinister Dr. Sandra Mornay (Lenore Aubert), a terrifying plot is set in motion to transplant Wilbur's brain into the Monster's body.

Only the tragic Wolf Man, Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.), understands the danger and desperately tries to warn the unsuspecting pair. As Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the Wolf Man and even the Invisible Man enter the fray, Chick and Wilbur stumble from one hilarious disaster to another in a frantic race to stop the monsters before it's too late.
