CRAZY JOE (1974) is a crime film directed by Carlo Lizzani and produced by Dino De Laurentiis, based on the murder of mobster Joseph "Crazy Joe" Gallo. Starring Peter Boyle, Paula Prentiss, and Fred Williamson, the film tells the fictionalized story of Gallo and his criminal organization in 1970s New York. Gallo's disputes with his boss Falco lead to betrayal and imprisonment, ultimately leading to a violent and tragic end.
