Comedy legends Bud Abbott and Lou Costello bring their trademark slapstick and fast-paced humour to this exotic adventure filled with mistaken identities, palace intrigue and unforgettable comedy routines.

When a struggling vaudeville troupe becomes stranded in the Middle East, friends Peter Johnson (Abbott) and Harvey Garvey (Costello) unexpectedly find themselves caught in a royal conspiracy. After escaping from jail with the help of the rightful heir, Prince Ramo, the pair agree to help him reclaim his stolen throne from the scheming Prince Nimativ, whose mysterious hypnotic rings give him control over anyone who falls under their spell.

Disguises, daring escapes, comic confusion and outrageous misunderstandings follow as Peter and Harvey attempt to outwit the villain, rescue beautiful singer Hazel Moon (Marilyn Maxwell), and restore the kingdom to its rightful ruler. Along the way, Abbott and Costello perform several of their most famous comedy routines, including the classic "Slowly I Turned" sketch, making this one of the duo's most entertaining wartime comedies.

Packed with laughs, music and colourful adventure, Lost in a Harem remains a delightful showcase for one of Hollywood's greatest comedy teams.
