All Neat in Black Stockings is a 1969 British comedy-drama directed by Christopher Morahan, featuring a star-studded cast including Donald Sinden, Jeannie Carson, James Robertson Justice, Diana Dors, and Stanley Holloway. The film is based on a novel by Jane Gaskell and Hugh Whitemore and follows the story of a charming window cleaner who falls for a woman he meets in trendy London. The main character, Ginger, also swaps girlfriends with his friend Dwyer, adding to the comedic plotline. The film was the breakout role for acclaimed stage actor Victor Henry, who tragically passed away in 1985 after suffering a coma from a 1972 car accident. Throughout the film, Ginger finds himself in various romantic entanglements, but ultimately decides to marry Jill, despite discovering she is pregnant with Dwyer's child. As the film ends, Ginger continues his window cleaning job, happily flirting with a young waitress.
