New York detective Nick Conklin (Michael Douglas) and his partner Charlie Vincent (Andy García) arrest a dangerous yakuza gangster and are assigned to escort him back to Japan. When their prisoner escapes after arriving in Osaka, the two detectives are plunged into the violent and mysterious world of organised crime.

Teaming up with Japanese police inspector Masahiro Matsumoto (Ken Takakura), they uncover a deadly power struggle between rival yakuza factions. As the investigation intensifies, Nick becomes determined to bring a ruthless killer to justice, leading to a thrilling showdown on the neon-lit streets of Japan.

Directed by Ridley Scott and featuring a powerful score by Hans Zimmer, Black Rain is a stylish action thriller packed with suspense, atmosphere and spectacular action.
