In 1780, African prince Mamuwalde journeys to Transylvania to seek the aid of the legendary Count Dracula in ending the slave trade. Instead, he is met with cruelty and betrayal. After defying the vampire lord, Mamuwalde is cursed, bitten, and entombed—condemned to an eternal undead existence under the mocking name Blacula, while his beloved wife is left to perish.

Nearly two centuries later, his coffin is unknowingly transported to Los Angeles, where Mamuwalde awakens to a modern world—and a renewed hunger. As he leaves a trail of blood in his wake, he becomes obsessed with Tina, a woman who bears an uncanny resemblance to his lost love.

As bodies pile up across the city, a determined pathologist and the police begin to uncover a terrifying truth: a powerful vampire stalks the streets. But Mamuwalde is no ordinary monster—he is a tragic figure torn between love, vengeance, and the curse that binds him.
