Richard Attenborough gives a disturbing performance as John Reginald Christie, the seemingly respectable resident of 10 Rillington Place who conceals a horrifying secret.
When Timothy Evans, his wife Beryl and their baby daughter move into the West London house, they become tragically entangled with Christie. Following Beryl's death, the confused and vulnerable Evans is manipulated and ultimately convicted of murders he did not commit.
Only later, when human remains are discovered hidden inside the property, does the terrible truth about Christie finally emerge.
Based on Ludovic Kennedy's nonfiction book and directed by Richard Fleischer, this stark true-crime drama features a BAFTA-nominated performance from John Hurt.
