Christmas in Connecticut (1945) Starring - Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan, Sydney Greenstreet, Reginald Gardiner, S. Z. Sakall & Robert Shayn - DVD NO CASE
Elizabeth Lane is one of America’s most popular lifestyle writers, delighting readers with tales of her idyllic Connecticut farm, devoted husband, adorable baby and wonderful home cooking. There is only one problem — none of it is true!
In reality, Elizabeth is a single New Yorker who can barely cook, with her delicious recipes secretly supplied by her good friend Felix. Her carefully constructed fantasy threatens to collapse when her unsuspecting publisher, Alexander Yardley, decides that returning war hero Jefferson Jones should spend Christmas at Elizabeth’s supposedly perfect country home.
Desperate to protect her career, Elizabeth borrows a Connecticut farm, acquires a pretend husband and baby, and attempts to maintain the elaborate deception throughout the Christmas holiday. But when she meets the handsome Jefferson, the situation becomes even more complicated as an unexpected romance begins to blossom.
Filled with mistaken identities, festive misunderstandings and sparkling romantic comedy, Christmas in Connecticut is an enduring Hollywood Christmas favourite.
