In his 1973 film Scarecrow, director Jerry Schatzberg tells the story of two men, Max and Lion, who embark on a journey from California to Pittsburgh in hopes of starting a car-wash business. Despite being awarded the Grand Prix du Festival International du Film (now Palme d'Or) at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival, the film struggled commercially and only gained recognition as a cult classic later on. As the two men make their way through Denver, their actions land them in prison, where Lion is brutally attacked and traumatized. However, their friendship remains strong and they continue to support each other through personal transformations and role reversals. When they finally arrive in Detroit, Lion reunites with his estranged wife and son, but is ultimately left heartbroken. This leads to a psychological breakdown and Lion being hospitalized, but Max remains determined to help his friend, even traveling to Pittsburgh with a round-trip ticket.

Please note this DVD movie is over 50 years Old and in Colour, it will not be up to today's high Quality, although the Quality is very good and can be watched on a large screen. Please remember it was made for the older screens though and not digital.
