Hollywood star Don Bolton (Bob Hope) is handsome, successful and adored by millions—but there's one thing he fears more than bad reviews: military service. Determined to avoid the draft at all costs, Don's plans quickly unravel when he falls for the beautiful Tony Fairbanks (Dorothy Lamour), daughter of a respected Army colonel.

Before long, Don finds himself enlisted alongside his long-suffering assistant Bert and manager Steve, struggling to survive the rigours of Army life. Faced with endless drills, punishment duties and one embarrassing mishap after another, Don must finally prove that he has what it takes to be a real soldier.

When a military exercise goes disastrously wrong, Don is given the chance to overcome his fears and demonstrate genuine courage. In doing so, he not only saves lives but earns the respect of those around him—and wins the heart of the woman he loves.

Packed with laughs, romance and patriotic wartime spirit, Caught in the Draft is one of Bob Hope's most entertaining comedy classics.
