"The Cat from Outer Space" is an American sci-fi comedy film released in 1978, directed by Norman Tokar and starring Ken Berry, Sandy Duncan, and others. Produced by Walt Disney Productions, it was filmed at the studio's Golden Oak Ranch and Santa Clarita, California. The plot follows a cat-like alien who lands on Earth and, unable to return to his Mother Ship, must rely on a group of scientists to help him find a way back. With a special collar that enhances his telekinetic and telepathic abilities, the alien, named Zunar-J-5/9 Doric-4-7, works with scientist Frank Wilson to uncover the secrets of the UFO and its power source. Together, they encounter obstacles such as government agents and industrial spies, but ultimately succeed in their mission with the help of a friendly colleague and a trusty biplane. In the end, the alien is granted US citizenship as a representative of a peaceful extraterrestrial presence on Earth
