In a country torn apart by revolution, three journalists discover that the most dangerous casualty of war may be the truth.
Photojournalist Russell Price arrives in Nicaragua during the violent final days of the Somoza regime. Alongside fellow reporter Claire Stryder, he becomes increasingly drawn into the struggle between government forces and the Sandinista rebels.
When the mysterious rebel leader Rafael is reported dead, Russell and Claire are confronted with an extraordinary request: create a photograph suggesting Rafael is still alive. What begins as an attempt to influence the course of the revolution places their professional integrity—and their lives—in jeopardy.
As the fighting intensifies, Russell finds it increasingly difficult to remain a detached observer. With veteran correspondent Alex Grazier caught in the escalating conflict, the journalists discover that in a war fought with bullets, propaganda and photographs, simply recording the truth can make you a target.
