Jerry Renault (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) is the new student at an elite Catholic boarding school where conformity is everything. When he's ordered by the mysterious student society known as The Vigils to refuse selling chocolates for the school's annual fundraiser, what begins as a simple assignment soon becomes an act of defiance that challenges the school's entire power structure.

Refusing to back down even after his assignment ends, Jerry finds himself targeted by manipulative headmaster Brother Leon (John Glover), the ruthless leader of The Vigils, Archie Costello, and increasingly hostile classmates. As intimidation turns to violence, Jerry must decide whether standing up for his principles is worth the devastating personal cost.
