THE BIG CUBE, a 1969 American psychological-thriller film, showcases the aggressive portrayal of LSD use and the 1960s youth counterculture as vicious evils. Directed by Tito Davison and starring Lana Turner, Karin Mossberg, George Chakiris, Daniel O'Herlihy, and Richard Egan, it follows the story of an aging actress who is dosed with LSD by her stepdaughter in an attempt to drive her mad and obtain her fortune. As Adriana battles with hallucinations induced by the drug, her friend Frederick attempts to cure her with a play that portrays her traumatic experiences. In the end, Adriana's performance brings her back to reality and exposes the malicious actions of her stepdaughter. This film sheds light on the dangers of LSD and the greed that can consume people when it comes to wealth and power.
