When unbalanced suburban housewife Peggy Gravel and her loyal maid Grizelda Brown are forced to flee after a fatal domestic incident, they are captured and given a stark choice: prison — or exile to Mortville, a filthy shantytown ruled by the iron-fisted Queen Carlotta and her unstable daughter, Princess Coo-Coo.

Banished to this lawless wasteland of misfits and social outcasts, Peggy and Grizelda are swept into Mortville’s bizarre power struggles and twisted alliances.
