HARRY AND WALTER GO TO NEW YORK (1976) is an American period comedy film featuring a star-studded cast including James Caan, Elliott Gould, Michael Caine, Diane Keaton, Charles Durning, and Lesley Ann Warren. The film follows two bumbling vaudevillians who end up sharing a jail cell with a sophisticated bank robber, Adam Worth. Together, they plan to pull off the biggest heist in late nineteenth-century New York City. With the help of a newspaper editor and the tantalizing opportunity to rob a seemingly secure bank, they race against Worth and his team to be the first to successfully execute their plan. As they face challenges and unexpected obstacles, including a popular musical comedy playing next door, they must think on their feet to outsmart Worth and make a getaway with the cash. In the end, they find an unlikely ally in Worth and even hint at a potential romance. This comedy is a must-see for its clever plot twists and entertaining
