STRANGERS WHEN WE MEET is a thought-provoking 1960 American drama film centered on the scandalous love affair of two married neighbors. Based on Evan Hunter's novel, it was skillfully directed by Richard Quine and boasts a star-studded cast, including Kirk Douglas, Kim Novak, Ernie Kovacs, Barbara Rush, and Walter Matthau. The film was shot in various locations in Los Angeles, including Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Bel Air, Santa Monica, and Malibu. The movie follows the story of Larry Coe, a successful architect who craves to break out of the mundane commercial projects he has been working on. When he meets author Roger Altar to discuss a passion project, he gets encouragement from his neighbor Maggie Gault, who admires his unconventional architectural style. Disillusioned with their unhappy marriages, Larry and Maggie embark on a risky secret affair, which is soon discovered by their nosy neighbor, Felix Anders.
