Born into slavery, Charley grows up under the brutal rule of a plantation owner. When violence finally forces him to fight back, Charley escapes with his friends Joshua and Toby, beginning a dangerous journey across the American West.
Pursued by slave catchers and confronted by prejudice and violence wherever they travel, the three men must depend upon each other to survive. Their journey eventually brings them to a small frontier town, where romance, friendship and a deadly confrontation with local outlaws lead Charley towards a new and uncertain future.
A tough 1970s blaxploitation Western combining frontier action with a story of freedom, survival and resistance.
