 Kittridge, an expert gunfighter, is hired by the villains to defend a rancher named Saxon. However, when he learns the true situation, he switches sides and helps Saxon protect his land. In a high-stakes game of cards, Kittridge ends up winning Saxon's ranch, but Saxon has ulterior motives for letting him win. The villains, Telford and Lake, will stop at nothing - from ambushes to starting fires - to prevent Saxon and Kittridge's cattle from reaching their destination.
