1. HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL - 106 Old Time Radio Shows on MP3 Audio DVD - Free Post
Have Gun Will Travel was a Western Adventure radio show that began airing on ABC in November 1958, just one year after its popular television version. Initially, the radio show's scripts were adapted from those of the television show, keeping the two in sync. Later, however, the radio show began creating original scripts. The series revolves around Paladin, a gun-for-hire with a strong moral code, portrayed by John Dehner on the radio. Despite his profession, Paladin strives to solve problems peacefully and only takes on clients who he believes have been wronged. While payment is important, he also offers his services for free to those in need. The radio show ended in 1960, while the television show continued until 1963.

"The Six Shooter" debuted on NBC on September 20, 1953, featuring Hollywood icon James Stewart in the leading role of Britt Ponset, a charming drifter in the wild Wild West. Created by Frank Burt, the show was expertly crafted with Ponset's noticeably laconic demeanor and his trusty six shooter, described as "gray steel and rainbow mother-of-pearl," adding a touch of elegance to the rugged world he inhabited. But despite his laid-back attitude, Ponset was not afraid to use his gun when necessary, making for thrilling adventures and comedic mishaps. The show's clever take on classic stories, such as a Western version of Cinderella and a Christmas Carol, added to its unique charm. Unfortunately, "The Six Shooter" only lasted one season despite its success and talented cast, making it a true gem of the radio era. The show was directed by Jack Johnstone, featured the music of Basil Adlam, and was announced by Hal Gib
