1.HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL - 106 Old Time Radio Shows on MP3 Audio USB
A Western Adventure radio show, Have Gun Will Travel, debuted on ABC in November 1958, just a year after its television counterpart. Initially, the radio show's scripts were adapted from the TV show, keeping the two in sync. However, eventually it began producing its own original scripts. The story revolves around Paladin, a gun-for-hire played by John Dehner, who strives to solve conflicts peacefully but will take on clients who have been wronged and can afford his services. In some cases, he even works pro bono for those who are unable to pay. The radio show ended in 1960, while the TV show ran until 1963.
2. SIX SHOOTER - A COLLECTION OF 40 Old Time Radio Shows on MP3 Audio USB
The Six Shooter featured the talented James Stewart in a series of charming Western tales that premiered on NBC's airwaves on September 20, 1953. Stewart truly shined as the endearing frontier drifter, Britt Ponset, brought to life by the creative mind of Frank Burt. The opening quote perfectly captures the essence of the character: "The man in the saddle is lanky and long-legged, with sun-tanned skin. His gun in his holster is made of gray steel and iridescent mother-of-pearl. He is known as The Six Shooter." Ponset was a wandering soul, a laid-back gentleman, and when necessary, a skilled gunman. Stewart perfectly embodied the easy-going cowboy who often stumbled into other people's problems and occasionally had to shoot his way out. Though his adventures were vast, The Six Shooter leaned towards comedy, setting it apart from other Western shows of its time. Ponset found time to act in a crude production of Hamlet,
3. FRONTIER TOWN - A COLLECTION OF 47 Old Time Radio Shows on MP3 Audio USB
Chad Remington, an up-and-coming lawyer in the city, is faced with a shattering tragedy when he learns of his father's murder in the small town of Dos Rios where he grew up. Determined to bring the killer to justice, he takes on the role of a crimefighting attorney in his frontier community, struggling to maintain law and order during the turbulent transition from the Old West to the New. The character of Remington is played by radio and film star Jeff Chandler, who later passes the baton to fellow veteran actor Reed Hadley. Alongside Remington is his sidekick Cherokee O'Bannon, a hard-drinking man of mixed heritage portrayed by comedic actor Wade Crosby, who impressively channels the voice of W.C. Fields for the role.
