Hawks is a 1988 comedic drama film directed by Robert Ellis Miller, based on a short story by Barry Gibb and David English. The musical score was composed by Gibb and the screenplay was written by Roy Clarke. The plot centers around two terminally ill cancer patients, Bancroft (Timothy Dalton) and Deckermensky (Anthony Edwards), who escape their hospital rooms to live life to the fullest. Their ultimate goal is to reach a famous brothel in Amsterdam, but along the way they stop at Bancroft's former flame's wedding and encounter various characters, including two British women. While Deckermensky hits it off with one of the women, Bancroft sees them as a distraction from their mission.
