The made-for-television science fiction action film, The Return of the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman, aired on NBC in 1987. It reunited the main casts of the popular television series, The Six Million Dollar Man and its spin-off, The Bionic Woman. Set 10 years after the events of those series, Steve Austin (Lee Majors) and Jaime Sommers (Lindsay Wagner) are called out of retirement to confront a criminal organization known as Fortress, led by Steve's estranged son Michael Austin (Tom Schanley), and their complicated past relationship. Familiar characters from the series, including Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson), head of the OSI, and Dr. Rudy Wells (Martin E. Brooks), are joined by new characters such as OSI agent Jim Castillian (Lee Majors II) and Fortress leader, Lyle Stenning (Martin Landau). Although intended as a pilot for a series focused on Michael Austin, no series was ultimately produced
