Ronnie Jackson is a mild-mannered baby photographer who dreams of becoming a private detective. When a beautiful and mysterious woman mistakes him for a real private eye and hires him to investigate a kidnapping, Ronnie suddenly finds himself caught in a dangerous world of murder, espionage, hidden maps, and sinister criminals.

As the case grows increasingly complicated, Ronnie is pursued by ruthless gangsters, framed for murder, and drawn into a web of deception stretching from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. With danger lurking around every corner and nobody quite who they seem, Ronnie must rely on luck, determination, and his accidental detective skills to clear his name.

Packed with laughs, suspense, and clever film noir parody, My Favorite Brunette remains one of Bob Hope's most entertaining comedy classics and a loving send-up of the hard-boiled detective movies of the 1940s.
