Scott Carey is enjoying a relaxing holiday with his wife when he is mysteriously enveloped by a strange glowing mist at sea. Months later, he begins to notice a terrifying change—he is slowly shrinking. As doctors struggle to understand his condition, Scott's world is turned upside down. Once an ordinary man, he becomes a scientific curiosity, watched by the media and trapped in a body that grows smaller every day.
As his size continues to diminish, Scott faces emotional turmoil, isolation, and the heartbreaking strain placed upon his marriage. An experimental treatment appears to halt the process, but hope soon fades when the shrinking resumes. Reduced to the size of a child, then smaller still, Scott finds himself living in a doll's house and fighting for survival in his own home.
After a fall into the basement leaves him stranded, Scott must confront a terrifying new world where everyday objects become giant obstacles, a household cat becomes a deadly predator, and a common spider transforms into a monstrous enemy. Armed only with his courage and determination, he wages a desperate battle for survival against overwhelming odds.
