JAYNE AND THE LOST CITY (1987) DVD
Experience the adventure and comedy of Jane and the Lost City, a 1987 UK film based on the British newspaper strip Jane by Norman Pett. Directed by Terry Marcel, this film stars Kirsten Hughes as Jane, along with Sam Jones, Maud Adams, Jasper Carrott, and Robin Bailey.
Set during World War II, the film follows Jane and the Colonel (Bailey) as they embark on a mission to prevent the diamonds of the fabled Lost City from falling into enemy hands. Joined by Jungle Jack Buck (Jones), their journey to Africa is filled with obstacles, including Nazi agents Lola Pagola and Heinrich (Adams and Carrott).
With a touch of mild eroticism, Jane and the Lost City stays true to its source material, as the heroine loses items of clothing throughout the narrative. Despite this, the film is rated PG (Parental Guidance) in the USA.
