Albert, known as “The Professor,” is the brilliant mastermind behind an audacious plan to steal a fortune in gold from the heavily protected Swiss National Bank in Geneva. Working alongside his glamorous and seductive partner Giorgia, he assembles an international team of six highly skilled thieves for what appears to be the perfect robbery.
Disguised as sanitation workers and armed with an ingenious collection of high-tech equipment, the six men descend into the sewers beneath the bank. Guided remotely by Albert and assisted by Giorgia from above, they carefully bypass an elaborate security system and drill directly into the vault—escaping with an astonishing six tons of gold bullion.
The operation may have worked perfectly, but keeping the gold proves far more difficult than stealing it. Double-crosses, forged passports, jealous lovers and competing plans for the fortune soon turn the carefully organised robbery into a wildly unpredictable battle of wits.
Directed by Marco Vicario, Seven Golden Men combines an elaborate caper with stylish 1960s European comedy, glamorous locations and plenty of ingenious twists.
