JOE (1970) Susan Sarandon - PUBLIC DOMAIN DVD ONLY NO CASE
Bill Compton, an advertising executive, discovers that his daughter Melissa has been living with a drug-dealing boyfriend. After her overdose and hospitalization, Compton goes to retrieve her belongings and confronts and kills the boyfriend. Curiously, he meets a factory worker named Joe Curran who shares his disdain for hippies, which leads Compton to confess that he just killed one. Although it was only a joke, Joe admires Compton's actions. Later, Melissa runs away upon hearing her father's conversation about the murder, and Compton and Joe search for her. They end up at a hippie apartment where they indulge in drugs and women. But when the drugs and their wallets are stolen, they track down the hippies at a commune and ultimately kill them all, including Compton's daughter who was among them.
