Junior Bonner is a Western film from 1972 starring Steve McQueen, Robert Preston, Joe Don Baker and Ida Lupino. Directed by Sam Peckinpah, it follows a rodeo rider returning to his hometown of Prescott, Arizona for a competition and family reunion. This movie is often praised for its warmth and gentleness, a unique characteristic among Peckinpah's films. Junior, known as JR, is a rodeo cowboy who is past his prime, but refuses to admit it. After a failed ride on a bull named Sunshine, he returns home to find his family in turmoil. His brother Curly, a real estate developer, plans to tear down their childhood home for a trailer park. Their father Ace, who dreams of moving to Australia, and mother Elvira, are estranged. In a surprising turn of events, Junior manages to ride Sunshine for the full eight seconds, using the prize money to buy his father a ticket to Australia.

Please note this DVD movie is over 50 years Old and in Colour, it will not be up to today's high Quality, although the Quality is very good and can be watched on a large screen. Please remember it was made for the older screens though and not digital.
