"Never Cry Wolf" (1983) is an American drama film directed by Carroll Ballard and based on Farley Mowat's "subjective non-fiction" book. Assigned by the government to study the declining caribou population in the Arctic, biologist Tyler must kill a wolf and analyze its stomach contents for evidence. Encountering wolves George and Angeline, Tyler forges a unique bond with them, but his research is interrupted when plans for a development project threaten the wolves' habitat. As Tyler reflects on his experience, he recognizes the impact of human intervention on the natural world.
