WHAT A WAY TO GO (1964) is a Public Domain American comedy film, starring Shirley MacLaine, Paul Newman, Robert Mitchum, Dean Martin, Gene Kelly, and Dick Van Dyke. In the film, a wealthy widow wants to donate most of her fortune to the Internal Revenue Service, and recounts her tragic past marriages to her psychiatrist. Through flashbacks and fantasy sequences, she reveals how each husband met a tragic end, leading her to seek a simple life inspired by Henry David Thoreau. The story follows her journey as she meets various men and ultimately finds true love and happiness on a farm with her new husband, who was once her business rival. This film offers a unique and humorous take on the pursuit of wealth and a simple life.
