Trilogy of Terror is a 1975 American made-for-television anthology horror film directed by Dan Curtis and featuring renowned actress Karen Black. Its three segments, based on short stories by Richard Matheson, are expertly adapted by William F. Nolan and Matheson himself. The first segment follows a college professor who succumbs to the dangers of seeking excitement with her students, while the second delves into the twisted relationship between twin sisters. Black shines in all three segments, playing dual roles in the second. The film, initially released as an ABC Movie of the Week, became a cult classic and even spawned a sequel in 1996. The first segment, "Julie," explores the consequences of a college student's lust for his English teacher, played by Black's real-life husband, Robert Burton.
