Elizabeth Taylor, Dana Andrews and Peter Finch star in this lavish Technicolor adventure set amid the exotic tea plantations of Ceylon.

After marrying wealthy plantation owner John Wiley (Peter Finch), Ruth Wiley (Elizabeth Taylor) leaves England to begin a new life at Elephant Walk, a vast estate built by John's late father. But beneath its beauty lies a troubling legacy. The plantation house stands directly across an ancient elephant migration route, while the memory of John's domineering father continues to cast a powerful shadow over everyone who lives there.

As Ruth struggles to adapt to her isolated surroundings, she becomes increasingly disturbed by the estate's strange traditions and her husband's obsession with preserving the past. Meanwhile, plantation manager Dick Carver (Dana Andrews) provides a welcome source of friendship and support, creating tensions that threaten to change all their lives.

With a devastating cholera outbreak, forbidden emotions, and a growing conflict between man and nature, events build towards a spectacular climax as a herd of elephants returns to reclaim its ancient path.

Beautifully photographed and featuring outstanding performances from its star-studded cast, Elephant Walk is a memorable blend of romance, adventure and drama from Hollywood's golden age.
