As the Second World War draws to its bloody conclusion and Japan faces inevitable defeat, the notorious Unit 731 prepares to abandon its secret biological warfare facility. Determined to prevent evidence of its horrific experiments from falling into enemy hands, those in command order the destruction of the camp and everything connected with its activities.

But as the evacuation begins, events take a terrifying turn. A Japanese officer is accidentally exposed to a deadly plague bacterium inside the laboratory. Unaware of the full consequences of the infection, he boards one of the final trains leaving the facility.

With military personnel and civilians packed aboard, the train becomes the setting for a rapidly developing nightmare. As sickness begins to spread among the passengers, fear and desperation take hold, transforming their journey to safety into a horrifying struggle for survival.

Directed by Godfrey Ho, Men Behind the Sun 3: A Narrow Escape, also known as Black Sun 731: Death Train, is the third and final entry in the controversial Men Behind the Sun series. Combining historical drama with graphic horror, the film uses the final days of Unit 731 as the backdrop for a grim story of biological warfare, disease and the consequences of wartime atrocities.
