A deadly military bioweapon code-named "Trixie" is accidentally released into the water supply of a quiet Pennsylvania town, turning ordinary citizens into homicidal maniacs or leaving them dead. As martial law is declared, heavily armed troops quarantine the town and ruthlessly eliminate anyone who attempts to escape.

Firefighter David (Will McMillan), his pregnant girlfriend Judy (Lane Carroll), and a small band of survivors fight their way through a landscape of madness, where infected neighbours, panicked civilians, and trigger-happy soldiers are all equally dangerous. As the military races to develop a cure, the town spirals into complete chaos, forcing David to make impossible choices in a desperate struggle for survival.

Directed by horror legend George A. Romero, The Crazies is a tense blend of science fiction, horror, and political thriller that explores the terrifying consequences of biological warfare, government cover-ups, and the collapse of civil order. A chilling cult classic that remains as unsettling today as it was on its original release.
