Value for Money is a 1955 British comedy film directed by Ken Annakin. Starring John Gregson, Diana Dors, Susan Stephen, and Derek Farr, the film is based on the 1953 novel of the same name by Derrick Boothroyd. The story follows Chayley Broadbent as he inherits his father's clothing factory and learns the importance of frugality. After a trip to London and a series of encounters with show-girl Ruthine, Chayley is forced to confront his attitudes towards money and marriage. The film explores themes of wealth, love, and societal expectations in a humorous and insightful way.
