PRIME CUT (1972) is an American action thriller crime film starring Lee Marvin and Gene Hackman. The story follows a mob enforcer sent from Chicago to Kansas to collect a debt from a meatpacker boss, and his encounter with a young orphan being sold into prostitution. This controversial film includes a graphic depiction of female slavery, a chase scene involving a combine harvester, and a depiction of the beef slaughtering process. The brutality of the story is enhanced with a subtle hint at a homosexual relationship between two brothers. In a shocking twist, it is revealed that the sausages being made at the slaughterhouse contain human remains, highlighting the depravity of the criminals involved. With a cast of talented actors, PRIME CUT provides a gripping and thought-provoking viewing experience.
