Rebecca is a 1940 film directed by Alfred Hitchcock and stars Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine. It was Hitchcock's first American project and was based on the novel by Daphne du Maurier. The gothic tale follows the brooding Maxim de Winter and his young second wife as they move into the grand Manderley estate in Cornwall. However, the housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers, is still fixated on the previous owner, Maxim's late wife Rebecca. The film received critical acclaim and went on to win two Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Cinematography.

Please note this DVD movie is over 50 years Old and in Black & White, it will not be up to today's high Quality, although the Quality is very good and can be watched on a large screen. Please remember it was made for the older screens though and not digital.
