When a confident country singer wagers she can turn anyone into a star, she takes on the challenge of converting a cynical New York taxi driver into a rhinestone cowboy. Set against the backdrop of a gritty urban nightclub and a Tennessee homestead, the film follows their clash of cultures and gradual connection as he learns the ways of country music. Despite mixed critical reception, the film produced two country chart-toppers and remains a quirky piece of 1980s entertainment. This DVD release comes without a case and is sourced from the public domain.
