Synopsis

Robert Wagner stars as the courageous Prince Valiant in this spectacular Technicolor adventure, bringing Hal Foster's celebrated comic-strip hero to life in a thrilling tale of sword-fighting, romance and medieval intrigue.

Driven from his homeland by the ruthless Viking usurper Sligon, young Prince Valiant seeks refuge in the kingdom of Camelot, where he dreams of becoming a Knight of King Arthur's legendary Round Table.

Under the guidance of the noble Sir Gawain (Sterling Hayden), Valiant begins his training in the ways of chivalry and combat. But his journey soon takes a dangerous turn when he discovers a mysterious Black Knight secretly plotting with Viking warriors to overthrow King Arthur.

As treachery threatens Camelot, Valiant finds himself caught in a deadly conspiracy involving the ambitious Sir Brack (James Mason), while his growing love for the beautiful Princess Aleta (Janet Leigh) complicates his quest for honour.
