Cathy's Curse, also known as "Une si gentille petite fille" in French, is a 1977 supernatural horror film directed by Eddy Matalon and featuring a talented cast including Alan Scarfe, Beverly Murray, and Randi Allen. This Canadian-French co-production was filmed in Westmount and Montreal, Quebec and follows the terrifying story of a young girl possessed by the spirit of her deceased aunt. Despite its initial negative reception, the film has gained a cult following over the years. The plot centers around a family tragedy that took place thirty years prior, and the disturbing events that unfold when the family returns to their home. As the young girl, Cathy, exhibits increasingly destructive and malicious behavior, those around her begin to fear that she may be under the influence of supernatural forces. When the truth is revealed, it will leave the audience on the edge of their seats.
