When struggling Hollywood producer Harry Schechter (Stephen Nathan) inherits a failing movie studio, he needs a hit—and fast. His outrageous solution is to produce an adults-only musical comedy that affectionately sends up the lavish song-and-dance spectaculars of classic Hollywood.
With an eccentric collection of performers, filmmakers and would-be stars, Harry throws himself into a chaotic production filled with deliberately ridiculous musical numbers, outrageous humour and affectionate parody.
Directed by Mark Haggard and Bruce Kimmel, with music and lyrics by Kimmel, The First Nudie Musical became a cult favourite following its theatrical release and later television and home-video appearances.
