They meet in the heat of Firecreek!

James Stewart and Henry Fonda face each other across the dusty streets of a town paralysed by fear in this powerful 1968 Western.

Johnny Cobb (James Stewart) is a quiet farmer who serves as the part-time sheriff of the small frontier town of Firecreek. His badge may carry little authority, but when a gang of dangerous gunmen rides into town, Cobb suddenly finds himself responsible for protecting a community unwilling to protect itself.

The strangers are led by the ruthless Bob Larkin (Henry Fonda), whose men quickly begin intimidating and terrorising the townspeople. Cobb desperately tries to maintain the peace, but when the violence leads to a brutal killing and the citizens of Firecreek refuse to intervene, the reluctant lawman realises he can no longer stand aside.

Outnumbered and virtually alone, Cobb straps on his gun and prepares to confront Larkin and his men. What follows is a tense battle of courage and conscience as one ordinary man decides that there comes a time when somebody has to make a stand.

A tough, character-driven Western in the tradition of High Noon, FIRECREEK brings two Hollywood legends together in memorable opposing roles, with Stewart as the reluctant hero and Fonda delivering a striking performance as the outlaw Bob Larkin.
