A STORY OF COURAGE, SURVIVAL AND A MAN AHEAD OF HIS TIME

After spending 33 years behind bars, legendary stagecoach robber Bill Miner is released from San Quentin in 1901. Now an ageing outlaw in a rapidly changing world, Miner discovers that the old ways of the Wild West are disappearing.

Inspired after seeing the pioneering motion picture The Great Train Robbery, Miner decides to put his criminal skills to use once again. After several false starts, he successfully holds up a train and disappears into the rugged wilderness of British Columbia, where he assumes a new identity and becomes a respected member of a small mining community.

There he meets independent photographer Katherine Flynn, and an unexpected romance offers Miner the possibility of finally leaving his outlaw life behind. But the lure of one last robbery proves impossible to resist, setting him on a collision course with the law.

Based on the remarkable true story of the gentleman bandit known as “The Grey Fox,” this beautifully photographed Western combines adventure, romance and the story of a man struggling to find his place in a new century.
