Federal Marshal Len Merrick is determined to uphold the law when he rescues an accused cattle rustler from an angry lynch mob. Refusing to hand over his prisoner, Merrick sets out across harsh desert country to deliver the man safely to trial. Pursued relentlessly by a vengeful rancher and his armed posse, the journey becomes a deadly battle of courage, loyalty and justice.

As danger closes in, Merrick forms an unexpected bond with the prisoner's daughter while uncovering evidence that casts doubt on the man's guilt. With lives at stake and the truth finally emerging, the Marshal must risk everything to ensure justice is served.
