When smooth-talking gambler Russell Donovan arrives in the booming frontier town of Quake City, he unexpectedly becomes guardian to three mischievous orphaned children. His plans for a new life are soon turned upside down when the youngsters discover a fortune in gold, attracting the attention of greedy opportunists, bumbling outlaws, and dangerous bandits.

With the help of spirited stagecoach driver Dusty Clydesdale, Donovan finds himself protecting the children while learning the true meaning of family. Along the way, the unforgettable comedy duo of Amos Tucker and Theodore Ogelvie create plenty of chaos in this delightful Western adventure.
