Young actress Ann Darrow is desperately looking for work when she meets ambitious filmmaker C.B., who offers her the opportunity of a lifetime—a starring role in an exciting new motion picture being filmed on a mysterious tropical island.
Ann joins the crew of the Venture and sets sail for the legendary Skull Island, where an extraordinary adventure awaits. After encountering the island's inhabitants, Ann is offered as a sacrifice to Kong, an enormous gorilla who carries her deep into his dangerous jungle kingdom.
But Kong soon becomes Ann's unlikely protector, defending her against terrifying prehistoric creatures including a Tyrannosaurus, a giant flying reptile and an enormous serpent.
When Kong is captured and transported to New York as a spectacular attraction, his escape sends the city into chaos. With Ann's life once again at the centre of events, Kong faces his greatest challenge high above the streets of Manhattan.
Featuring colourful animation and original songs by the legendary Sherman Brothers, The Mighty Kong is a family-friendly musical reimagining of the classic King Kong adventure.
